I’m biking across America this summer and taking a picture
of everyone I meet.

“Real runners wear short shorts.”

Patrick, our Warmshowers host in Seward, just turned 30 and feels really good about it. He says he's accomplished all the goals he wanted to by the time he hit the milestone.

The Kenai Fjords National Park archaeologist is well on his way to competing in 100-mile trail runs and has already checked off the Mount Marathon Race, an insanely steep 3.1-mile annual race that scales the nearby 2,974-foot peak. Frontrunners, including Patrick, take approximately 30–45 minutes to run up and 10–15 minutes to run (and slide) down.
